Oh, let me tell you about one of the most magical engagement photoshoots I’ve ever had the pleasure of capturing! Picture this: Vik, Iceland, under the glow of the Midnight Sun, with two of the loveliest souls, Liv and Jaron. It was an experience that felt like a dream, and I’m still buzzing from the beauty of it all.
The Allure of Vik Beach
Unlike the more famous Reynisfjara Beach, known for its dramatic black sand and towering basalt columns, Vik Beach offers a softer, more intimate experience. The black sands of Vik, caressed by the gentle waves of the North Atlantic, create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The beach is framed by lush green hills and cliffs, giving it a more secluded and tranquil vibe compared to the rugged and often stormy Reynisfjara.
Puffin Watching in Vík
As if the setting wasn’t magical enough, we were joined by some unexpected yet delightful guests—puffins! These charming seabirds, with their colorful beaks and playful demeanor, added an extra layer of enchantment to our adventure. Puffins are known to nest in the cliffs around Vik, and that night, they graced us with their presence, swooping and diving around us as if to join in the celebration of love.

As we wrapped up our session, we ended up in a field full of lupin flowers, their purple colors adding a vibrant touch to the scene. Seeing them there, surrounded by nature’s beauty, holding hands with the sun never quite setting, was pure magic. It was one of those moments that remind you why you fell in love with photography in the first place.
